Hamid was elected Milton’s MPP after Parm Gill resigned to run at the federal level.
Milton has been Conservative blue since 2018.
Thursday’s voting runs from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Those intending to vote are encouraged to check their assigned voting location by entering their postal code in Voter Information Service at elections.on.ca, by downloading the Elections Ontario app or by consulting their Voter Information Card.
Those cards are meant to make the process easier on election day, but are not a requirement to vote, so long as eligible voters bring along their ID.
Advance voting can still be done until 6 p.m. Wednesday at the returning office at Gorrud’s Auto Group (410 Steeles Ave.).
