At Ashwood Glen’s Science Fair, our IB students became innovators, changemakers, and future leaders, linking their projects to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and proving that science fuels real-world impact! 🚀💡
🏆 Big congratulations to our Grade 5/6 students, Alzain, Charley, and Haya who won FIRST PLACE for their bridge strength and design! Their innovative approach showcased the power of engineering and infrastructure (SDG 9) in shaping a stronger future.
🦠 The 5-second rule—fact or fiction? 🤔 Our students put it to the test, studying how bacteria spreads on dropped food and linking it to clean water and sanitation (SDG 6). Their findings? Let’s just say, you might think twice before eating that fallen cookie! 🍪🔬
🍋 Clean energy made simple! Students harnessed the power of lemons to light up LEDs, showing how everyday items can inspire renewable energy solutions (SDG 7).
⚽ Science meets sports! They explored how air pressure affects a soccer ball’s trajectory, connecting physics, health, and innovation (SDG 3 & 9).
