The Dream Kitchen

The Dream Kitchen was the vision of one man, Keith Lamson from the Optimist Club Milton who brought this vision to life!

This program teaches individuals with disabilities kitchen skills to support them in obtaining employment opportunities in the food service industry.

But the program goes beyond that! They receive food from the food bank. With this food they prepare home cooked meals which are then delivered to Milton Community members in need and unable to get to the food bank. This past week 63 meals were prepared for delivery.

On Thursday, the Dream Kitchen members went out to help with deliveries to experience the impact their hard work in the kitchen is making!

The results of this program have been successful in many aspects, to date 2 individuals have obtained employment as a result of this program.........and we are just getting started!

COME OUT AND SEE THE DREAM KITCHEN IN ACTION!

On October 19th, 2024 from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm at Country Heritage Park (Conestoga Room) in Milton, The Dream Kitchen will be hosting a lunch and mini market.

Come enjoy a hot bowl of homemade soup, bun and drink for $10

Enjoy the beautiful fall leaves at Country Heritage Park, get a sneak peak of the Pumpkins After Dark display.
