🔉TURN SOUND ON 🧡

🧡On Orange Shirt Day, Ashwood Glen comes together to honour and observe reconciliation, reminding us all that *Every Child Matters*. 🪶

🧡This day holds a deep history, rooted in the story of Phyllis Webstad, whose experience of having her new orange shirt taken away on her first day of residential school has stayed with her — symbolizing the loss of culture, language, and identity Indigenous children faced.

🧡Today, at our assembly, we reflected on the importance of respect, kindness, love, and compassion.

🧡We also recognized our IB students who embodied the Communicator Learner Profile, showcasing the power of communication in fostering understanding and positive change. 🧡🪶
