FJ Davey Home, a long term care home located at 733 Third Line East, is seeking proposals from qualified hairdressers to provide professional salon services to our residents. The selected hairdresser will lease a designated salon space within the facility and deliver services that enhance the well-being and quality of life of our residents.
FJ Davey Home is a 374 bed long term care facility caring for elderly residents with a focus on personalized care and comfort. Our residents value personal grooming as part of their overall well-being, and we are committed to offering convenient, quality salon services on site.
The salon space is located within the FJ Davey Home, and is equipped with one shampoo station, dryer station, two styling chairs and locked storage cupboards.
The selected hairdresser will be expected to;
1. Provide hair services, including
• Haircuts, shampooing, styling, hair coloring (if applicable) and perms
2. Maintain a clean, hygienic and professional workspace and follow required infection control practices.
3. Build a rapport with residents and staff, offering patience and understanding, service tailored to residents needs
4. Hours of operation are Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. Must be open and operational for a minimum of 24 hours per week
5. Abide by all health and safety regulations
6. Be willing to complete required education on the Resident Bill of Rights and the Reporting of Abuse
7. Pay a monthly rental fee of 25% of gross sales
8. FJ Davey Home must approve price list and any price increases
