Position Objective:
The Director of Operations reports to the Vice-President of Corporate Services and will work collaboratively with other senior team members to provide direction and leadership in building an overall organizational culture that includes Anishinaabe principles and protocols to achieve the organization’s overall goals and objectives. The Director of Operations is a supervisory position responsible for monitoring and overseeing the effective and efficient administration of general operations for the organization. This position will be responsible for working in collaboration with all departments to ensure programs and projects are operating productively and proficiently for organizational success.
Qualifications:
- Minimum undergraduate degree in Business Management/Administration or related field of study.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in an administrative and management capacity.
Job Skills and Knowledge:
- Excellent organizational, strategic, planning, and implementation skills.
- Excellent management writing and verbal communication skills.
- Proven skills to interact effectively with employees to direct work requirements, assess performance, and assign duties.
- Confident decision-making abilities.
- Must possess conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to interpret and implement organizational policies and procedures.
- Understand financial reports, including budgetary guidelines and project expenditures.
- Must be computer literate to write necessary reports and proposals and proficient with Microsoft Office.
- Must be proficient in Microsoft applications, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to multi-task and meet multiple and /or unexpected deadlines in a demanding environment.
- Knowledge of Anishinabek culture, language, principles and protocols; and
- Kendmoowin; Anishnabemwin miinwaa Anishnaabe bmaadziwin.
