MiltonToday received the following letter about an all-candidates' meeting for the upcoming provincial election.

If we live in a democracy shouldn’t we expect our “wannabe leaders” to be accountable for their actions and responsive to their constituents?

On Thursday night, I attended a supposed “all-candidates’ meeting” in which two of the three main party candidates appeared—the missing link was the Ontario PC candidate, Zee Hamid.

Mr. Hamid’s website states, “I am here to serve!” and yet he does not grant the simple courtesy of presenting himself at an all-candidates’ meeting.

This lack of accountability is shameful and a terrible omen for what’s to come.

Anyone aspiring to lead must be prepared to publicly express their beliefs and, if necessary, defend them.

Mr. Hamid’s failure to present himself demonstrates his disdain for Miltonians.

Maybe Mr. Hamid should update his website to read, “I am here to serve but I won’t answer questions”.

Miltonians should expect more from their MPP.
