The Chick-fil-A on Appleby opened with praise from locals.

Halton residents can now get a taste of an American classic close to home.

The region’s first Chick-fil-A opened in Burlington over the weekend on Appleby Line. Customers reported great service and better chicken at the restaurant chain known throughout the U.S. for employees' polite attitudes and the tasty meals.

“Ever since trying CFA in the States it's been one of my favourite chicken sandwiches,” one reviewer wrote on Google about the new location. “My family used to travel to Pittsburgh just to buy tubs of CFA original sauce. Service was excellent at this location (yes, even though it was opening day).”

The chain opened its first restaurant in Canada in 2019 in Toronto, and plans to have 20 stores across the country by the end of 2025. There are more than 2,700 restaurants across 48 states.

The Burlington location is one of four opening by the end of 2024 in Canada, with the other sites in Calgary, Newmarket and Edmonton.
