The CPKC Holiday Train returns to Glen Eden Ski and Snowboard Centre Nov. 23.

It’s a unique concert experience for a worthy cause.

Milton – specifically Glen Eden Ski and Snowboard Centre – is once again one of the stops along the CPKC Holiday Train tour that runs through Canada and the U.S.

The local conservation site is one of the first destinations on this year’s campaign, making its arrival at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 23. That’s when the musicians American Authors and KT Tunstall will perform aboard a brightly-decorated train.

Each stop along the tour includes a CPKC donation to the local food bank, with organizers encouraging event-goers to make cash or non-perishable food contributions if they’re able.

The free concert will be held at the centre’s west entrance parking lot. The train departs for its next stop in Hamilton at 5:30 p.m. Those planning to attend should head out early to avoid delays.

Since the tour’s 1999 inception, CKPC has raised $24.3 million and collected roughly 5.3 million pounds of food for food banks and organizations across North America.

“The Holiday Train unites people in the spirit of the season, while generating critical support for our neighbours in need,” said CPKC President and CEO Keith Creel, “We look forward to seeing all the smiles and cheers from people young and old coming together in the spirit of giving.”
