The Northern Lights have been extending their viewing privileges in recent months.
And Thursday night, parts of north Milton were included in the show.
Local resident Tracy Miller was among those who captured the aurora borealis’s dazzling display between 10 and 10:30 p.m. – taking to social media to share the unique experience.
“This was the first time for me seeing the lights with the naked eye. It was an amazing experience and I was pretty excited to be able to witness it in person,” she said.
The Northern Lights were classified as a G4 (on a scale from G1 to G5) on the solar intensity scale Oct. 10. Many southern Ontario communities – including neighbouring Oakville – have enjoyed the mesmerizing night sky showcase this past summer and fall.
Of course this has followed another wow-factor display from Mother Nature, namely the eclipse that amazed millions across southern Ontario -- and beyond -- on April 8.
