In keeping with similar industrial projects, developers have proposed more commercial buildings in northeast Milton.
Two different Ontario numbered companies have submitted applications for a transport terminal and warehouse, respectively, in the James Snow Parkway and Esquesing Line area.
The one-storey warehouse would be located at 8283 Esquesing Ln. and will likely be 7,500 square metres in size.
The other applicant is seeking to build a 1,200-square-metre transportation terminal on the neighbouring property on 8329 Esquesing Ln. This building will also be a one-storey facility.
The Town of Milton’s Commissioner of Development Services Jill Hogan told MiltonToday that the applications are being reviewed by internal and external agencies to ensure compliance with regulations.
The Town has not yet established a date for when council will vote on the projects. Hogan estimates that “a recommendation report may be brought forward later in 2025 for each application.”
However, she explained that “this will be contingent on both timing and quality of future re-submissions for each application.”
The older project, 8283 Esquesing Ln., has already had its public meeting where residents can give feedback on it.
They can provide feedback on the neighbouring property at the town council meeting Monday (Mar. 17).
Both applications are across the street on Esquesing line from a massive project proposed by Orlando Corporation for two industrial buildings.
Residents interested in taking part in the discussion about 8329 Esquesing can find more information on the Town of Milton’s website. Additional details about its nearby project are also available.
