ICYMI: Here’s what you need to know about voting in Milton provincial byelection

Election day set for May 2, but there’s plenty of opportunity to cast your ballot before that

Milton's provincial byelection is well underway.

With Progressive Conservative MPP Parm Gill’s recent resignation from Doug Ford’s government – in order to run federally – local residents are set to pick their next representative at Queen’s Park.

Election Day is May 2, and here’s what voters need to know.

Important dates

April 3 to 26

Visit votebymail.elections.on.ca to submit an application to vote by mail. The deadline is 6 p.m. on April 26. Applications can be sent online or downloaded.

April 4 to May 1

Voters can cast their ballots at the returning office at Milton Mall (55 Ontario St.) until 6 p.m. on May 1.

April 18

A complete list of candidates can be found at elections.on.ca once the nominations close at 2 p.m.

April 21 to 26

Visit voterinformationservice.elections.on.ca for dates, times and locations of advance polls. Voter cards will be sent out starting April 16.
