IN PHOTOS: Ontario politicians get a taste of farm life at International Plowing Match

Politicians hop on tractors and try to plow the straightest furrow

The annual International Plowing Match and Rural Expo was held in Kawartha Lakes this year at the Lindsay Exhibition Grounds.

On Tuesday, politicians from across the province made their annual pilgrimage. The event, hailed as the largest of its kind in North America, is a showcase of agriculture and rural living and gives farmers and politicians a chance to mingle — something that's especially important when the three main party leaders all represent urban ridings.

It's also a very good time, and we were there to take pictures.
