It wasn't quite as spectacular as last year's lunar eclipse, but today's blood moon put on a great show.
Clear skies prevailed for those who don't mind waking up at 2 a.m. to experience the night sky. We won't see another lunar eclipse here until 2029.
For those of you who slept through the event, here's a few shots to enjoy. See how the moon looked at 9:15 p.m., 2, 2:30 and 6 a.m.
And for all those photography geeks such as myself, this was shot with a Sony, aperture: f/4 Exposure: 1/13 Focal length: 216.73 mm ISO: ISO6400
