Muhammad Saleem is remembered as a loving husband, father, brother and friend.

A caring husband, loving father, respectful son, kind brother and cheerful friend.

Muhammad Saleem was many meaningful things to many people, all of whom are now grieving his loss following a Friday evening eight-vehicle collision that claimed his life.

The 55-year-old Milton man – who leaves behind a wife and three school-age children – suffered critical injuries during the crash at Derry Road and Ontario Street South.

He succumbed to them in hospital.

Friend Farhan Nadeem – who’s set up a GoFundMe page to help his family – remembers Saleem as a “true gentle soul.”

“He was always at the center of every activity, uplifting enthusiasm and energy of everyone around,” said Nadeem on the GoFundeMe page. “Our shared memories will never be forgotten. His passing leaves a void that cannot be filled and he will be greatly missed.”

Donations are flooding in on the GoFundMe page. Just 12 hours after it was set up today (Sept. 23), an incredible 600-plus people have collectively given $43,875 towards a $75,000 goal that was initially set at $50,000. Click here to contribute.
