Enlightening, enriching and interactive.

Milton Public Library promises all three at its upcoming Drumming and Meditation workshop – designed to deepen one’s understanding and appreciation of Indigenous culture.

Kristin Tyrer from Moose Cree First Nation aims to do that through an evening of music and storytelling. Participants will join in group drumming and learn about the history and important role the hand drum plays in Indigenous culture.

The event is set for Tuesday, Jan. 28 at Sherwood Branch (6355 Main St.), running from 7 to 8:30 p.m. It’s open to all adults.

Registration is required and can be done here.
