Olympian Perdita Felicien will share her My Mother's Daughter memoir at MPL's Sherwood Branch March 21.

Whether in business, wellness, fitness or sports, a celebration of all things female awaits at Milton Public Library’s Sherwood Branch this Friday (Mar. 21).

The festivities kick off with a Women’s Fair from 1 to 5 p.m.

On hand will be representatives from local businesses, organizations and resource services – all eager to share insight on their products and supports with the community.

From there, residents can enjoy the work of area authors, poets and writers at an open mic from 5 to 6:30 p.m. No registration is required.

The day’s celebration concludes with a conversation with Olympic hurdler, TV host, speaker and author Perdita Felicien, who’ll share her beautiful memoir My Mother’s Daughter.

Those in attendance can ask questions and get their copy of the book signed. The event is presented by Gennile Thomas Smith, founder and executive director of Halton Black Voices.

Seats are still available for the free evening and can be booked here.
