Rural Milton home among those raided in drug trafficking investigation

Four people face drug, weapons and property charges after numerous search warrants were executed by Guelph police last week.

This summer, police began an investigation into two males involved in trafficking drugs and possessing stolen property.

Last week, search warrants were executed at homes in east Guelph, Erin and the Campbellville area with assistance from the OPP and Halton Regional Police.

As a result of the search warrants, officers recovered quantities of suspected crystal methamphetamine, cocaine and fentanyl with an estimated total value of more than $14,000. Officers also recovered several real and replica firearms, a stolen crossbow, a homemade conducted energy weapon and suspected stolen property including more than 40 bicycles, three motorcycles, tools and a riding lawnmower.

Two Guelph men, aged 51 and 41, as well as a 40-year-old Halton man and a 34-year-old Erin woman face charges including possessing controlled substances for the purpose of trafficking, possessing stolen property over $5,000, possessing prohibited weapons and breaching court orders. All were held for bail hearings.
