Snow White: A British Pantomime
The Brightside Players present their Snow White: A British Pantomime at the FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton’s MinMaxx Hall. Singleton Christmas display
Now in its 39th year, the Singletons’ 8565 Guelph Line Christmas display runs nightly from 5 to 9 p.m., featuring an acre and a half of illuminated displays and miniature story boxes. Donations are accepted in support of Halton Women’s Place.

Kerry’s Place Drop-In
Kerry’s Place holds its regular drop-in for those seeking information on autism services and resources at Milton Public Library’s Main Branch (1010 Main St.) from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Drop-ins are welcome, but consultations require registration, which can be done here.
Afternoon at the Movies
Seniors are invited to Milton Public Library’s Beaty Branch (945 Fourth Line) for a 2 p.m. free screening of Gattaca. The 1997 film explores a futuristic world where genetic makeup determines success, with a flawed man trading places with a superior individual in order to be chosen for a space mission. No registration is required.
Saturday, Dec. 7
Milton Food Drive
Milton Salvation Army and the Milton Fire and Rescue Services will be collecting non-perishable food donations from 9 a.m. to noon at No Frills, Food Basics, Metro, Sobeys, the Superstore and Walmart. Donation bags will be supplied.
Community Closet
Southside Community Church (200 Main St.) offers free clothes to men, women and children from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All are welcome. Donations are gladly accepted.
Christmas Vendor Sale
The Halton chapter of the Order of Eastern Star (6321 Regional Road 25) hosts a variety of area vendors and crafters from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Proceeds from vendor table fees and an onsite cafe will go to support the Milton Salvation Army.
Christmas Messy Church
St. Paul’s United Church (123 Main St.) welcomes those from all backgrounds and beliefs to a morning of unity and community. Running from 10 a.m. until noon, the free event features arts and crafts, live music, interactive activities, storytelling and treats.
Miracle on Main Street
The Tiger Jeet Singh Foundation and Halton police host Miracle on Main Street from 2 to 7 p.m. along downtown Main Street, with rides, a petting zoo and a variety of family activities. Unwrapped toys will be collected for area children’s hospitals, women’s shelters and food banks.
Holiday Sparkle Decoration Making
Children 8 to 12 years of age are invited to Milton Public Library’s Main Branch (1010 Main St.) from 2 to 3 p.m. to make one-of-a-kind ornaments. Registration is required and can be done here.

Santa at the Fairgrounds
Halton Agricultural Society presents Santa at the Fairgrounds (136 Mary St.) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with photo opportunities with Santa Morgan ($15 each) and a wide variety of vendors. Admission is free and donations to the Milton Community Resource Centre’s Infant Food Bank will be accepted. No pets are allowed.
The Three Sisters Exhibit
Conservation Halton is pleased to announce a new exhibit opening at Crawford Lake Conservation Area (3115 Conservation Rd.) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Three Sisters features stories and beautiful new art pieces by Tuscarora artist, Raymond R. Skye that explore the importance of agriculture to Haudenosaunee peoples — past and present. No registration is required.
