Campbellville Santa Claus Parade and Cross-Church Christmas Carolling among events going on in town

Friday, Dec. 13 to Sunday, Dec. 15

Singleton Christmas display
Now in its 39th year, the Singletons’ 8565 Guelph Line Christmas display runs nightly from 5 to 9 p.m., featuring an acre and a half of illuminated displays and miniature story boxes. Donations are accepted in support of Halton Women’s Place.

Magical Lights of Milton
Visit 876 Willow Avenue for the 15th annual Magical Lights of Milton display (light show synched to music at 99.7FM). Runs nightly until 10:30 p.m., with donations accepted for Milton District Hospital.

Friday, Dec. 13

Super Smash Bros Drop-in
Youths 13 to 17 are invited to drop in to test their skills against fellow gamers from 10 a.m. to noon at Milton Public Library’s Main Branch (1010 Main St.). No registration is required.

An Afternoon at the Movies
Milton Public Library’s Beaty Branch (945 Fourth Line) welcomes seniors to a free screening of Knives Out, a murder mystery with plenty of intrigue. No registration is required.

Saturday, Dec. 14

Community Closet
Southside Community Church (200 Main St.) offers free clothes to men, women and children from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. All are welcome. Donations are gladly accepted.

The Magic of Christmas
Milton Concert Band performs many holiday classics, and some not so well known selections at FirstOntario Arts Centre Milton (1010 Main St.) at 7 p.m. Tickets are $25 for adults, $20 for seniors and $10 for children up to 13. Click here to purchase tickets.

Saturday, Dec. 14 and Sunday, Dec. 15

Santa at the Fairgrounds
Halton Agricultural Society presents Santa at the Fairgrounds (136 Mary St.) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with photo opportunities with Santa Morgan ($15 each) and a wide variety of vendors. Admission is free and donations to the Milton Community Resource Centre’s Infant Food Bank will be accepted. No pets are allowed.

The Three Sisters Exhibit
Conservation Halton is pleased to announce a new exhibit opening at Crawford Lake Conservation Area (3115 Conservation Rd.) from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The Three Sisters features stories and beautiful new art pieces by Tuscarora artist, Raymond R. Skye that explore the importance of agriculture to Haudenosaunee peoples — past and present. No registration is required.

Christmas on the Rails
Halton County Radial Railway Museum (13629 Guelph Line) invites residents to ride the rails one last time before its winter hiatus. Ride vintage streetcars from 1 to 8 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 7 p.m. Sunday through the snowy woods. Visit hcry.org/events/ for more information.

Sunday, Dec. 15

Campbellville Santa Claus Parade
The 50th anniversary of the Campbellville Santa Claus Parade begins at 1:30 p.m., traveling east of Twiss Road, south on Crawford Crescent onto Guelph Line/Main Street and finishing on Campbell Avenue. Leading the parade will be honourary village mayors Liz and Peter Lambrick.

Cross-Church Christmas Carolling
Residents are welcome to meet at Grace Anglican Church (317 Main St.) at 2 p.m. to join the third annual carolling celebration, which makes its way down Main Street, with stops at Southside and Knox, ending at St. Paul’s (123 Main St.). All are welcome.
