The Menace welcomed a neighbouring rival to Memorial Arena Sunday evening, and were anything but hospitable.
Scoring 1:06 into the game and delivering a relentless attack from start to finish, Milton dismantled the Oakville Blades 8-0 in front of one of their biggest crowds of the season.
The lopsided victory was the local juniors 10th win in their last 11 contests, lifting them to 25-10-0-3 and strengthening their hold on third place in the OJHL’s Western Conference. They haven't lost at home in over two months.
Carter Bickle turned back 23 shots for his third shutout in his last four outings, while Luke Johnston sank his team-leading 17th and 18th goals of the season in the last five minutes of play.
Madden MacDougall also tallied twice – with his 13th and 14th this season – and added an assist, while rounding out the scoring were Marco Costante, Nathan Catalano, Justin Dezoete and Ivan Fabjan.
Ryder Cali contributed three assists.
The Menace are in Georgetown Wednesday night and return to Memorial Friday to take on Niagara Falls. Game time, as always, is 7:30 p.m.
