Milton Menace edged by Jr. Sabres

Late surge not enough in tough loss for Milton
menace-header

The Menace donned their proverbial rally caps at Memorial Arena Friday. But the comeback fell a little short.

Milton scored three unanswered goals in 5:08 in the third period before falling 4-3 to the Buffalo Jr. Sabres – dropping them to 11-9-0-1 for seventh place in the OJHL Western Conference.

The hosts out-shot Buffalo 17-4 in the final frame and added a little suspense by pulling Ethan Kowatsch for the extra attacker with over two minutes remaining.

Kyle Burton had a goal and an assist, while also finding the back of the net were Dean Deligeorgis and Marco Costante.

Ryder Cali drew a pair of assists for the second straight game, marking his seventh multi-point effort of the season.

The Menace now begin a three-game road trip tonight at the Toronto Patriots.
