With their biggest offensive weapon back in the lineup, the Menace had a quick return to the win column last night (Feb. 1).
Luke Johnston scored his team-leading 27th goal of the season – an empty netter – and drew two assists as Milton knocked off the Toronto Patriots 6-2.
He and Nathan Catalono struck in the final 90 seconds 1:13 to cement the victory, lifting the third-place Menace to 31-12-0-3.
Holding the opposition to two goals or less in his fifth straight game, Austin McKillop turned back 35 shots for the win.
It was Milton’s ninth victory in their last 11 outings.
Andrew Giljanovic had a goal and an assist, with Cole Semeniuk, Madden MacDougall and Ashtyn Pacheco also scoring.
The Menace close out a four-game road trip against division-leading Leamington Thursday before heading home to face the Patriots next Sunday, Feb. 9 at 1 p.m.
