It’s been an eventful start, but we’re just getting warmed up

Thanks for reading Milton Today.

No matter how you celebrate or recognize the holidays, it’s a time that – naturally – brings about reflection of the year that’s passed. And with that, hopefully some appreciation.

Your Milton Today editor has a whole lot of that as he looks back on 2024.

Launched back in April – thanks to Village Media’s ongoing expansion – our news team has been welcomed into the community and supported by individuals and organizations almost too numerous to count.

It’s been both heartwarming and inspiring.

The contributions to Milton Today’s coverage have been felt in a myriad of ways. But the underlying connection is always the same – that you’re invested in this community and want to share in its growth and prosperity.

We believe a local news site plays a part in that, whether it be calling attention to a community concern, shedding a light on major events and developments or celebrating individual or collective successes.

That keeps us awfully busy, but that’s how we like it.

And we’re just getting started.

So to those who’ve yet to do so, please consider signing up for our daily newsletter to stay up to date on what’s happening in your community. Or just make MiltonToday.ca a regular stop along your news consumption travels.

And for those who’ve offered their support in our first year – be it through news tips, spreading the word or simply being a regular reader – we extended our heartfelt gratitude.

Building a vibrant news site takes a village, and we’d like to think we’re off to a solid start. But there’s always room to grow... more stories to explore and more connections to forge with communities within the larger community.

Stay tuned.
