Yet another local restaurant has been burglarized, the latest in a string of thefts in recent weeks.

At 8:16 p.m. on Sept. 6, a suspect broke into Khazana on Maple Avenue through the rear door, according to Halton police. The suspect allegedly stole cash from the register, with the total estimated to be under $5,000.

The restaurant was closed at the time, and no one was present.

The suspect is described as a man wearing a dark-coloured hoodie, light-coloured baseball cap, face covering, dark-coloured pants and light-coloured running shoes. He was carrying a backpack.

The investigation is ongoing.
