Late-night RIDE stop in Milton leads to impaired charge

A man has been charged with impaired driving following an early-morning traffic stop in Milton.

At 12:47 a.m. on Friday (Sept. 6), Halton police stopped a vehicle while conducting a RIDE (Reduce Impaired Driving Everywhere) program in the area of James Snow Parkway and Main Street East.

Following an investigation, a 28-year-old man from Cambridge was charged with blood alcohol concentration 80mgs or more, within two hours.

The charge has yet to be proven in court.
