A suspected delivery van theft was abruptly foiled in Milton Monday evening (Jan. 13).
Halton police media relations officer Ryan Anderson reports that about 6:10 p.m. a delivery driver was dropping off a package on Houston Drive when he observed a suspicious vehicle pull up next to his van.
Upon seeing the passenger door open, the driver quickly used his key fob to lock the unoccupied van, at which point the suspects got back into their vehicle – a Chrysler 300 with no plates – and drove away.
Nothing was stolen.
The suspects were described as two men with dark complexions and clean shaven.
