A Facebook Marketplace transaction took a dangerous turn when a knife was brandished during a meetup at a Milton home.
According to Const. Ryan Anderson, Halton police’s communications officer, the incident occurred Monday (Nov. 25) around 6:50 p.m. The victim had arranged to meet two buyers at their residence on Laurier Avenue to sell an expensive jacket.
During the exchange, one of the suspects allegedly tried on the jacket before pulling out a folding knife and warning the seller not to follow them. The two suspects then fled the scene on foot.
The first suspect is described as a Black male, 6'2" tall, with a thin build and approximately 20 to 25 years old. The second suspect is also described as a Black male, 5'7" tall, around the same age and wearing dark clothing.
