A woman has been charged in connection with a break-in at a Milton home.

Halton police say a suspect gained access to the residence around Main and Ontario streets through an unlocked door between Oct. 1 and 2, allegedly stealing $500 worth of gaming consoles and a small amount of cash.

The suspect was identified after an investigation.

On Oct. 3, police arrested a 37-year-old woman, of no fixed address, and charged her with break and enter. The charge has not been tested in court.

The accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court in Milton at a later date.
