Miltonians are invited to embrace their inner songbird to help lift area women out of abusive relationships.
They can do so at The Eighth Note Local Eatery & Live Music Bar, which will host Sing for a Cause on Sept. 11 in support of Halton Women’s Place, the region’s only shelter dedicated to helping women and children fleeing domestic violence.
ARC singers will be on hand with DJ Rockin’ Rob (Hewlett) to entertain the crowd with requested songs, while attendees are welcome to belt out a tune themselves. A minimum $5 donation is being asked per song.
The event runs from 6 to 9 p.m.
