Milton Ribfest runs this weekend at Milton Community Sports Park.

Friday, July 26 to Sunday, July 28

Milton Rib and Beer Fest
Northern Heat Rib Series welcomes some of North America’s best ribbers to Milton Community Sports Park (805 Santa Maria Blvd.) from 4 to 11 p.m. Friday, noon to 11 p.m. Saturday and noon to 7 p.m. Sunday. Food vendors from different cultures will also be on hand. The event features live music and vendors. Admission is $2, and free for children under five.

Summer Giving Campaign

Milton Public Library invites residents to donate in-demand items at any of its branches in support of the MCRC Infant Food Bank. Those making donations of a minimum amount of these items – see details here – will be entered for a chance to win a pool of prizes.

Name Game!

Learn about various plants and their uses at the Indigenous Learning Garden at Milton Public Library’s Beaty branch. The event runs from 1 to 3 p.m. and is suitable for teens and tweens. Register here.

Lego drop-In

Children 6 to 12 years of age are invited to drop in at Milton Public Library’s Sherwood branch from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. and put their building and creative skills to the test with fellow Lego-maniacs. Parental supervision is required.

Milton Farmers’ Market

Visit downtown Main Street (James to Martin streets) from 8 a.m. to noon for fresh produce, food, flowers and more.

Yard Sale

A yard sale begins at 9 a.m. at 75 Finney Terrace. Items up for sale include vinyls and a record player, home and garden decor, clothes, books and magazines, purses and bags, beauty supplies and stationary.

Garden Volunteers Needed

Volunteers are sought for maintenance of the Milton Public Library’s Indigenous Learning Garden at Beaty Branch (945 Fourth Line) from 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Teens can use these hours towards their community service hours for graduation. Sign up here.

Milton Kids Talent Show

The Milton Chinese Canadian Community hosts the 2024 Milton Kids Talent Show at Milton Seniors’ Activity Centre (500 Childs Dr.). The event begins with children’s activities at 2 p.m., followed by dinner and the talent show at 6:30 p.m. Click here for tickets.

Super Smash Bros Tournament

Register here and compete for gift cards and bragging rights from 2 to 4:30 p.m. at Milton Public Library’s Main branch. Open to youth 10 to 15 years of age.

Bees and Hive Exploration

Backed by Bees presents an in-depth exploration of the intricate world of honey bee hives from 2 to 3:30 p.m. at Milton Public Library’s Sherwood branch. All ages are welcome. Sign up here.

Saturday Crafternoons

Children 3 to 12 are invited to drop-in at Milton Public Library’s Beaty branch from 3 to 4:15 p.m. for craft time. All materials are supplied.

Classic Cruise Night

The Optimist Club of Milton hosts its Classic Cruise Night from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Main Street GO Station parking lot. Come and see some classic cars, enjoy a little oldies music and grab a hamburger, hot dog or ice cream. There’s also a 50-50 draw.
