menace-header

The puck drops on a new season for Milton Menace tonight (Sept. 6).

The new year comes with significant transition, as the local juniors are without three of last season’s top four scorers, as well as several other players.

Leading the new regime as recently-appointed captain is hometown defensive anchor Graeme MacAuley, who’s seen his blueline beefed up with sizable additions Christian Holden (6-foot-8, 205 lbs.), Luke Hampel (6-3, 202 lbs.) and Philip Roberto (6-2, 215 lbs.) – acquired from Aurora, Trenton and Niagara Falls respectively.

Notable newcomers up front include Gabriel Ciarallo and Kyle Burton, who recorded 53 and 28 points respectively last year with Georgetown and Brantford.

Going 1-2 in exhibition play, the Menace were knocked out in the second round of last year’s playoffs after a strong regular season that saw them finish second in the West Conference at 41-12-2-1.

Tonight’s season opener against the Caledon Admirals starts at 7:30 p.m. at Memorial Arena.
