Menace suffer first season shutout loss

Milton with just one win in last six games
menace-header

The Menace’s early-season promise has hit a serious snag.

Sputtering offensively since a 6-1 start to the year, Milton’s juniors were blanked 1-0 by host Collingwood Sunday afternoon – marking their fifth loss in the last six games.

Austin McKillop turned back 34 shots to keep the Menace in a position to win, but on this day anything less than perfection was not enough.

Blues top scorer Damen Boose notched the game winner 5:39 into the second period.

Now 7-6, Milton will look to get back on track Friday (Oct. 18) when they return to Memorial Arena to take on the neighbouring Oakville Blades.

A hockey equipment drive will be held in support of Indigenous communities.

Game time, as always, is 7:30 p.m.
