A Milton man has been arrested and charged in connection to the theft of an iPhone during a sale arranged through Facebook Marketplace.
The incident took place last Wednesday (Oct. 9) night at Milton Sports Centre (605 Santa Maria Blvd.), where the complainant and the accused had agreed to meet for the transaction, Halton police say.
After the accused took possession of the phone, he allegedly refused to provide payment.
The complainant called the police, leading to the arrest of the accused.
The 20-year-old man from Milton was charged with theft under $5,000.
The charge has not been tested in court.
